Hypocrisy:
- Hypocrisy means one has intention to the change ways. Hypocrisy is based on a big ego.
- Hypocrisy means that one wants power and position but is not ready to pay the price.
Maya:
- If we examine our own lives, we find that sometimes we are being used as the instruments of maya, to create disharmony and discord among other Vaishnavas. We become the greatest enemy of Krishna, in the name of His devotee.
- Maya is so thorough, just like water. If there is one little crack, the water will just find its way immediately to that crack – the problem is our consciousness has so many cracks.
- Maya means when we don’t recognize a person’s connection to Krishna.
- In Krishna consciousness nothing happens automatically, even at death Krishna is whispering in one ear and maya in the other. Life means …. whose whisper we hear.
- If you sincerely try to be the servant if the servant of devotees, maya cannot touch you.
- The world will appreciate you if you give time to maya and the devotees will appreciate you if you give time to Krishna. So, you decide whom to serve.
- One who is excited in happiness will be miserable on distress. Happiness is habit driving and gives us the enjoyer tendency. So don’t he disturb by happiness. Greatest technique of maya is to give you happiness by which you lose guard. So be vigilant and fixed in Sadana and service. Maya can use our good fortune to destroy our spiritual life.
- Fighting against Maya is a blissful thing in the world.
- Even when Krishna gives you strength, maya will delude you to think it is your strength.
- Essentially the living entity within material existence has two choices. To be a puppet of maya on the strings of the three modes of material nature or to be puppet of Krishna on the strings of His love, and compassion.
- For a non-devotee, maya convinces not to surrender unto Krishna. But for a devotee, she convinces to postpone the surrender.
Bodily Concept:
- Those in the bodily concept of life are only dying at every step. They are simply approaching death…. their final destination.
Material World:
- Material nature is static and spiritual nature, ecstatic.
- The only way we can make this world a better place is to transcend it.
- Trying to be happy in this world is the greatest illusion.
- Crying out to the Lord is the only eternal reality within this temporary world.
- The happiness of the material world also disturbs us because it makes us forget Krishna.
- Even when you are bowing down to God, there is danger in this world.
- One thing is certain: uncertainty of our life.
- There is enough happiness in this world to keep you attached to your sufferings.
- Struggle is the name of the game as long as we are in the material world.
- Do not take this material world so seriously, because it is always changing. Something terrible that you take so seriously today, is going to change tomorrow.
- There has never been a prison built by man that people haven’t figured out how to escape. But what kind of prison Krishna has created….no walls, no guards and although everyone is suffering in this world no one wants to get out.
- Material world…. those who have made the wrong choice and have decided that they do not want to serve God, do not want to love God. Rather they want to be loved as God and want to enjoy, serving themselves.
- Adhyatmika miseries – miseries of our own body, which has so many inconveniences and discomforts. Like a train in Mumbai, it is “Adhyatmika Express”.
- When we see a beautiful thing, what is it? It is just some light entering into our eyes making us mad. Or some frequency entering our ear, and we get mad. Or something scraping our tongue. And what is the tongue…. just a lump of flesh waggling around. But when something touches it surface, we go mad. This is what material enjoyment means, and we take it seriously.
- Material sense gratification, sinful activity kills the propensity to serve Krishna. That means in other words, it is trying to kill Krishna.
