Free will / Independence:
- Real Independence is to declare our dependence on Krishna.
- Our destiny is to rot in the material world, but Krishna comes to change our destiny. Therefore, we have to surrender our free will.
- Mediation in this world is not easy because God has given us free will and He does not interfere with it.
Mind:
- People in this world are very fond of serving their mind and senses. They are even more fond of having other people serving their mind and senses, thinking that they are the masters and thus becoming intoxicated by this misconception on every stratum of life.
- This is the spiritual principle of controlling your mind: Completely lose your mind to Krishna. That means to become so absorbed in Krishna, that you completely transcend any false egoistic identity that, I am this body or any other thing.’
- The mire serious you are about spiritual life, the more you keep your mind in captivity.
- Those who are honestly trying to control their mind, they alone can be trusted.
- Mind always searches for some reason to be dissatisfied.
- Vedic culture is about restrictions, which maintain the stability not one’s mind from being subjected to the influence of lust and wrath. And this is only possible if we keep our mind always fixed on Krishna.
Desire:
- Once our dreams are fulfilled, misery begins.
- The manifestation of ignorance is material desires.
- If we have strong desire, then Krishna miraculously removes obstacles and gives us the power to overcome them.
False Ego:
- Krishna becomes intoxicated after seeing His from in the mirror. We also become intoxicated by seeing us from in the mirror… but if is out of false ego. It does not last long. After a few years, when we become old, we don’t get intoxicated.
- When false ego collapses, material conditioning is vanquished.
- The mist insane game if materialistic society is the game of false ego, where each person tries to establish one’s position.
- When the soul, which is sat city Ananda, is clouded by the false ego, the mind tries to find pleasure somewhere else through the senses.
- Big people with a big ego hear truth because their minds get shut off like circuit breakers or fuses.
- The burning desire to be rescued from the clutches of the false ego and execution of devotional service with that desire will attract Krishna’s mercy.
Selfishness:
- Selfishness is our enemy. Yet we are so inclined to fall into that state of mind. The cure is to serve.
- Due to false ego and selfish disposition, we mind everyone as a potential enemy.
Envy:
- What is envy? Envy means, “I want to be seen is important and great”. And if anyone is a threat to my own egoistic ideas, then there is negativity towards that person.
- Envy: “I can’t tolerate what you have. I want to destroy it.”Jealousy: “I’m glad you have it. I wish I had at least as much or more.”
- The bottom line of the material world is envy, and it is envy alone that is the cause of lust, exploitation, violence and all suffering.
- When you hate a person, you are hating some aspect of Krishna.
- People’s criticizing others is an exhibition of their envy towards GOD.
- Ring is always greater than the ratio of people happy.
