Compassion:
- Compassion is an essential element of love.
- As soon as we think we are compassionate, we are in illusion. We are Just an instrument of Srila Prabhupada’s compassion.
- We are Compassionate towards animals but are violent with our god brothers, god sister and other vaishnavas. Ours is the most personal philosophy but sometimes we are highly impersonal in our dealings.
- Lord Caitanya’s act of taking sannya is His passion to show compassion to the fallen souls.
- Real compassion is to pray in such a way that pepole’s souls can be freed from the shackles of these materialistic qualities, so that they can actually live in harmony, harmony with God’s nature.
- Real compassion means to understand what the needs for the body, mind and soul are.
Remembarance:
- Remembrance is a necessary expression of love, internally.
- How intensely we think of krishna is how quickly we become purified.
- We can remember Krishna for millions of births and still remain in the material world, unless Krishna is pleased with wour remembrance.
- In this world when we lament with separation from a lost loved one, we simply lament, because that person is not factually present within his remembrance. That person is gone. But the Supreme Lord can fully reciprocate with us in the very thought (of Krishna) that enters into our mind, because Krishna is manifested within our heart.
Frinad Api Sunicena:
- Higher understanding comes when we pass by the gateway of this sloka (Trnadapi sunicena).
- Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu did not describe this verse as a detail of bhakti. This verse describes the foundational consicousness of our spiritual development.
- Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is not only giving verbal emphasis. He is also giving physical emphasis. He raises hands and tells, Everyone, please hear Me. It is menat for everyone.
- Some pepole want to be God. We can never become God, but we can be better than God in the eyes og God if we have this consciousness ”Trnad api sunicena….”
Tolerance:
- Dealing with negativity in a positive way is called tolerance.
Determination:
- If you have no determaination you are useless on the spirtual path.
- Determination : “Japa is the most enjoyable thing in the 14 worlds. Even if it makes me suffer, I will still do it because Krishna enjoys if.”
- To discriminate between the right and the wrong and to be determined to do the right is called determination.
- Don’t let a breath escape from your body without Krishna’s name. That should be our determination throughout our life.
- Krishna consciousness become boring if you are not determined.
Submissiveness:
- Submissiveness is to genuinely understand that all knowledge that we have is various forms of ignorance, if it is not coming from the Lord through discipline succession.
Gratitude:
- Gratitude doesn’t means simply saying thank you. Real gratitude means reciprocation. If you are actually grateful to someone, you will reciprocate even if it means great sacrifice.
- Without a grateful heart, the heart will be hard.
- A grateful heart is not choosy or selective about a particular situation.
Success:
- Success in spiritual life lies not is being the best, but doing the best.
- Success in life is not about some external accomplishment. Success in life is about expressing the integrity of our will before God, who is the witness within.
- There is a short cut to success in spiritual life and that is “trinad api sunicena”
- A really successful person is a person who sees a positive opportunity in any situation in life, even in the darkest tragedies and traumas. There must be something to learn from, same wisdom, some growth, some opportunity. That takes a strong foundation.
Speech / Words:
- Silence is Golden….the purport is – to be silent means speak only of the Golden Avatar.
- Every word we speak or everything we do, is either an offering to Krishna or our ego.
- If you read every word of Srila Prabhupada’s purports with a sense of urgency, believe me these words will change your life.
- One reckless word of statement can destory relationships, break hearts and break people’s faith.
- Before we can save the drowing person, we must become proficient swimmers.
- Spirituality and practice it in our life, our words and our examples will have a powerful effect on those around us and the world al large.
Satisfaction:
- Fulfillment comes from reciprocation of Krishna being pleased within.
- According to the purity of love, there is satisfaction.
Leadership:
- Leadership is not a post to enjoy. If that is your idea then you will be a very miserable leader, a very exploitative person. Leadership is a very serious, signficant responsibility of service to others.
- Internationally we can only give direction, but real progress of ISKCON will come locally, when the local leaders take it as their life and soul to protect and serve Srila Prabhupada’s sacred mission.
Renunciation:
- Renunciation doesn’t mean giving up thigs externally but rather it means diligently pulling out the weeds from the heart.
- Renunciation means death of the false ego.
- Internally, renunciation is simplicity.
- Essentially, renunciation is about detachment from false ego, because that is the seed of all other attachment.
- Detachment does not mean to neglect what Krishna gives you. Detachment means to do the needful as an offering to Krishna.
