Enthusiasm:
# Enthusiasm is the expression of our desire to develop the intention to love Krishna.
# A Sincere soul is not trying to make a show. His enthusiasm is an act of serdice.
# The strength to perform the austerity of enthusiasm comes from sincere chanting and attentive hearing.
# Inattentiveness can be conqurerd by enthusiasm in sankirtana of the holy name.
# When obstacles come and cause anguish we should use our intelligence to redirect the heart and understand that this is a glorius opportunity to love and depand on Krishna and Srilla Prabhupada. Our enthusiasm only intensifies with obstacles.
# We can sit in classes and hear very nice theoritical philosophy and we can have great conviction of our intelligence. That is very good and important. But factually, unless that philosophical conviction generates a sense of enthusiasm within one’s heart for the service of the Lord, it is like an empty decoration.
# We get experience not through mechanical devices but throush our eagerness.
Alertness:
# Whether advanced or a beginner in Krishna conciousness, we should not be neglectful even for a second. That one second could mean our spiritual life. It could even mean our material life.
Repentance:
# Regret or remorse of the wrong we have done should be in a positive spirit of changing and turning towards God with humility.
# The Absolute Truth can be perceived by a rentant heart.
Respect:
# In giving respect we can be very happy, because we can do it in all situations. When we expect erspect we are miserable, because it is not that ereryone in every situation will respect us.
# Weakness of Durvasa Muni in the pastime of Ambarisha was aspiration for rspect.
# Even if you want ont drop of respect you have to take birth in this material world again.
Forgiveness:
# One should not just tolerate all insults and harsh words but also forgive with a peaceful mind.
# A Vaishnava forgive the offender before the offense is over.
Integrity:
# A devotee means a devotee of substance.
# If you compromise your integrity for the thrills of the world, you will suffer in the future.
# We must live our life moment by moment with intefrity, with simplicity and honesty.
# A person’s accomplishments induce respect and adoration from another person’s mind, doesn’t go beyond that. But a person’s character induces respect and love from other people’s hearts. Because ultimately its character that makes a person great, not accomplishment.
# Spirituality is based on development of character and philosophy.
# Real problem is not population explosion but what the population is doing.
# To Live a life of substance we must be willing to mainatain the ideals in all circumstances.
Love:
# Love is an expression of our free will to please Krishna above and d
eyond everything else.
# Love is not enjoyment. Love is being enjoyed !
# If you love somebody, you don’t ignore the body of that person. Spiritual love automatically includes all other types of love.
# When there is love in your heart only love will come out.
# To love is to serve and to serve is to please.
# Love go God within our heart is not our property; it is srimati Radharani’s property. It can be awakened only by Her grace. It has to be directed towards Krishna. When it is directed towards Krishna, it expands to the whole universe i.e., you love each and every part and parcel of Krishna.
# If you think that nobody loves you, to problem is that you have not learnt how to love others. Because if you have learnt to love others, you will be satisfied millions of times fiving love than looking for it And when you give love, spontaneously and natuarlly people reciprocate. People love those who love them. It’s human nature.
# The soul’s energy is to love but when that energy is filtered through various types of egoistic missconceptions, it appears as envy, as greed and pride. Thus we become depressed, we become lonely, we lonely, we become frustrated and we become filled with anxiety.
# Any propensity other than love cannot exist in the spiritual world. There is unlimited variegatedness but they are all extraordinarily wonderful ways of expressing love.
# Love is a state of complete, uninhibited, unconditional giving of every aspect of our very existancy for the pleasure of the object of our love, within and without.
# Whatever Srila Prabhupada did was with affection. It was with love. It was with concern and therefore whether he handed you a rose of encoragement or a thunderbolt of correction, devotees benefitted from it. Why ? Because they had faith in his affection, in his genuine concern, in his love.
