Hearing:
# A jnani hears because it fascinates his mind. He hears becase he wants some higher position either materially or spiritually. A devotee hears knowledge but has complete willingness to surrender to that knowledge.
# Bliss in Krishna conciousness come only when there is eagerness to hear krishna katha. This eagerness comes only when there is a sense of urgency.
#Eagerness to hear is an essential quality for spiritual progress.
Prayer:
# The purpose of prayer, the purpose of meditation, the purpose of chanting of mantra is to tune in to the divine energy that is within us the around us, in order to nourish our hearts. And to become better human beings and instruments of God’s love.
Krishna Katha:
# The joy of the soul is in glorification of the beloved lord of all creation.
#When we really feel the necessity for transcendental knowledge or when we are eager, then our conciousness can digest it. When food is not digested, even if it is the best food, it has minimal value.
Kirtan:
# Dancing together in kirtans can help us develop frindships that no Mediation Therapy can.
Holy Name:
# It is our service attitude that attracts Krishna to empower us to taste the sweetness of the holy name, to be able to actually experience and see the beauty of the holy dham
# When we chant is a way to please Radha and Krishna, that Chanting batches our heart is such a way that it awakens our dormant love of God. This type of Chanting must be practiced day and night.
# Krishna ! We shoud not just say it, but feel it. When we say, All glories to Srilla Prabhupada. It should not be 50% or 70% but a full 100% of All glories to Srilla Prabhupada.
# Krishna is present fully in His holy name and this is realized by humility and sincerity in our chanting.
# Emergency calls for attention. Kaliyuga is that emergency ! Greatest tragedy brings attention of newspaper. The greatest tragedy is not practicing Krishna conciousness. That brings attention of the Lord and in turn. He gives the charity of the holy name.
# Even if you are chanting 16 rounds there will be suffering, but the difference is your chanting will not be mechanical.
# Our Chanting will not uplift our conciousness unless we have co-operative affectuibate rekationships with one another.
Preaching:
# Preaching means to awaken a real inclination to serve Krishna.
# Preaching means to somehow or other engage people in appreciating Krishna.
# A happy devotee is the best preacher and better than that is a temple full of happy devotees.
# To represent God means to represent Krishna’s affection in this world.
# Millions of people will come if you simply present Krishna as He is !
# If you simply have good loving relationships with each other and good sadhana, Krishna will empower you to attract of souls to Krishna conciousness.
# A preacher is an instrument of compassion, not instrument of wrath.
Krishna’s Reciprocation:
# When the devotees satisfy Krishna, Krishna from within their heart gives them happiness. A happiness that is beyond anything og this world. Because Krishna reciprocates with the love of His devotees.
# Krishna is more concerned with protecting. His devotdd’s promise than His own. That is the nature of His love.
# Krishna protects either directly or indirectly by doing what’s best for our spiritual lives. And sometimes that means putting us in danger, sometimes that means allowing us to totally fail !
Krishna Viewpoint:
# God has created everything transcendental. It is simply our failure to see the relation of everything with Krishna that makes everything material.
# Krishna is the knower of everything because. He does not see OUTSIDE IN but INSIDE OUT. Gopinathji does not just see our pranams but the motivations, intentions and aspirations within our heart.
# According to our purpose, motivation and sincerity, which compose our devotion, Krishna reveals himself to us.
# Greatness is not in what you do but how you are an instrument in the hands of God.
# Krishna’s sense of humor is that. He can conquer even the greatest, simply by a tiny mosquito of tiny bacteria.
# What a joke ; Tiny living entities crawling on a little planer and are thinking. I am great.
# Individually and collectively, Krishna can make roaring lions into insignificant squeaking rats.
# We are insignificant, our sins are also insiginificant, our sins are also insignificant, which Krishna can easily vanquish.
# If you say everything is God’s but you see everything for yourself, then you are thinking that you are God.
# Krishna will not be pleased if we plunder and take advantage of the compassionate nature of somebody.
# Krishna is not pleased by results; He is pleased by the endeavour.
# If we do service nicely but still get chastised, then think that Krishna liked the service but wants higher perfection.
# Lord Brahma’s lifetime in infinitely smaller compared to eternity. The gift Lord has given every one is eternal life, full of knowledge and full of bliss is reltionship with Him.
# Krishna is the proprietor of everything, everything is owned by Krishna. Now isn’t that a wonderful conception ? But do we really like that idea ? When we actually do, we go back to Godhead.
# We can only know to the extent that God reveals to us. Because factually, whatever we see, by the time it comes to our conciousness, it’s filtered through our contaminated mind and our bewildered ego. So what really can we know in truth ? This is the condition of the soul.
Prasad:
# O Lord I don’t want to eat with you. I don’t want to eat before you, but I want to eat what is left over by you. That is Mahaprasad !
